Weekly Gratitude: Friday April 2nd, 2021
Bonsoir mes amis! Happy Friday, and Happy April! Welcome back to Weekly Gratitude where I share 5 things from Monday to Friday that I was grateful for. If you’re seeing this on a Saturday or Sunday and had written things down for the week I’d love it if you could share something below! Eventually, it would be great if we both came to share our gratitude on these posts. Expressing gratitude isn’t the easiest thing and sometimes doing it with someone else can help, I feel. It’s what helped me (along with time) and if we hold this space for both of us then perhaps it will inspire us to…

Weekly Gratitude: Saturday March 27th, 2021
Bonsoir mes amis! I realize that I’m a day late, and while the perfectionist in me prefers to do something exactly as I’d envisioned it or not at all: late is better than never. Also, it’s the last weekend of March which means I’ll be retiring the image you see above. I love this image so much but I want to challenge my aversion to change and switch out my ‘gratitude post’ image every month. Baby steps. Reflections on One Year of COVID-19 Lockdowns: Part II
Bonsoir mes amis (good evening my friends). Happy Thursday! Yes, Thursday, as in not Tuesday when I said I would post but I digress. I’m still getting the hang of blogging again and in trying to be disciplined with my time. Some days I hit the mark; other days I have to remember to be kind to myself when I don’t. But today’s post is not on my time-management skills and rather Part II of a reflection post I started last week. I’ve tagged it here for convenience.Despite spending about nine weeks in France’s very strict lockdown that started last March, 2020 was not an entirely bad year for me in terms…

Weekly Gratitude: Friday March 19th, 2021
Happy Friday mes amis (my friends)! If you saw Tuesday’s post then you know that France and French will forever hold a special place in my heart. True, my French is not so good, but I’m working on it and I’d like to incorporate some of it here from time to time. Hence, mes amis. I love the sound of that- plus, if you’re taking the time to read this then I do consider you my friend! This week seemed to fly by in the blink of an eye; I truly can’t believe it’s Friday again. Perhaps this is a good thing as my life feels like it’s at a…

Reflections on One Year of COVID-19 Lockdowns: Part I
Happy Tuesday everyone. I hope the start of your week is off to a good note. Today’s post will be short but personal, and as the title indicates, it will be about COVID-19. I hadn’t realized this at the time, but I was listening to a podcast on March 11th when they mentioned it had marked a year since the WHO (World Health Organization) declared COVID-19 a global pandemic. Like many, I have a variety of feelings about this. I struggle to put my feelings into words but I did want to discuss them here so that one day, in a post-COVID-19 world, I can reflect back on these feelings;…
