Weekly Gratitude: Friday March 5th, 2021

Happy Friday everyone! Wow, is it really March already? I can’t decide if the past year has flown by or dragged on. Regardless, there’s no way around it: it’s March. What does that mean for you guys? What does it make you think of? For me, it makes me think of bittersweet times as I was living in France last March, going to university as usual, not knowing that soon after President Macron would announce one of the strictest country-wide lockdowns. I’ll never forget those last few weeks and all those ensuing feelings. Perhaps I’ll talk about that in a future blogpost. For now, let’s continue on to the second installment of Weekly Gratitude. To recap from last Friday’s post, Weekly Gratitude will is a permanent series here on Everything Ami where I will list one thing I was grateful for between Monday to Friday, but with the caveat that I must write 3 daily in my journal and then on Friday just pull 1 thing from each day. In this series I will highly encourage you to participate as well and to share however many you feel comfortable with sharing in the comments. I would love it if you shared even 1 thing you were grateful for during the week. I’ll be here every Friday sharing mine and I hope that you will come to look forward to sharing yours here, too. Monday 03/01: A handful of new books arriving in the mail. Tuesday 03/02: Talking on the phone with someone who I’ve really missed. Wednesday 03/03: My brothers making time for the three of us to watch anime. Thursday 03/04: Grabbing a Starbucks with my little brother. Friday 03/05: Waking up early enough to justify a cup of coffee. And that’s it! It can be that simple and easy, although it is not necessarily simple nor easy sometimes! That will actually be the topic of Tuesday’s blogpost: the ‘why’ behind these gratitude exercises. Don’t forget that an original blogpost will go up every Tuesday at 7pm PST and that every Friday I will preview the following week’s blogpost topic as well. I’ll see you guys on Tuesday! xo
